ABOUT THE ARTIST

Born and raised in Hanford, California, I dreamt of becoming an industrial engineer in the design and development of transportation. For those of you who may not know what an industrial engineer is, the term itself is misleading. What I dreamed of doing is creating the design of cars, trucks, busses, etc. Growing up, I was my dad's assistant grease monkey. Cars have always intrigued me and I eventually decided on going to college to learn more about how various vehicles operated and to learn to design a vehicle. In the fall of 2002, I started taking general education classes at a local community college. In the spring of 2004, I finally started on the curriculum that was needed to get the degree to become an industrial engineer. At one point I was relieved that I got all of my general education done, and started taking the design classes I needed for my degree. The first design class I ever took was Digital Imaging for Students which utilized Adobe Photoshop, and ever since then, I was hooked to creating digital art. Eventually I switched my major to graphic design and continued playing with 2D designs whenever I had time to do so. In the fall of 2004, the community college I was attending had not received much funding and had a drop in instructors teaching. The graphic design department was hit hard with little to no funding. I had to put my schooling on hiatus because the class I needed was not being offered. I took up a full time employment instead of waiting for the one class I needed to continue my schooling. Finally, the class I needed was offered. During the spring of 2007 I decided on taking 3 art classes and the advanced graphic design class I desperately needed and had waited for over a period of 3 years. I had decided I needed more physical art in my life to inspire me because I had been working in 2D for so long. By the end of the semester, my art instructor was unbelievably impressed and told me I needed to continue doing what I was doing. Right then was when I decided to change my major, and instead, double majoring in Graphic Design and Art. It's a huge step, and I plan to do it, and then some. I am very much determined to accomplish my dreams.

Another huge dream and aspiration of mine is to open a business. I want to continue showing the world my graphic design, art (all forms), and perhaps opening a flower shop. I would enjoy sharing something I love with the rest of the world. I am determined, and I know I can do it. Now, it's only a matter of time.

SPECIFICS

I am me. I am unique, unpredictable, creative, strong, blunt, sarcastic, and sometimes mean. I get defensive when you are closed minded, accuse me of something, or make assumptions. I certainly don't have the patience for stupidity. I may sound mean, but I'm just tired of the idiocy that is driving this nation. On that note, you either love me or hate me. There is no in-between. However, I do suggest that you love me, because I've beat my dad arm wrestling.

:)
